[The University of Texas at Austin] Turkish Literature in Translation Reading Group at UT Austin // Fall 2022, 2nd meeting: “Joyce in Turkish and Ulysses’ Centenary—a conversation with Armağan Ekici”
October 27, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm CDT
The centenary of the publication of James Joyce’s Ulysses is being celebrated around the world in 2022. This year brought us many new books on Ulysses, some of them synthesizing a century of efforts in understanding this famously difficult book. Armağan Ekici, who translated Ulysses into Turkish in 2012, will share his thoughts on the reception and understanding of Ulysses in translation in light of the centenary publications.
